Katharine McKee Surkin
Profile:
Katharine McKee Surkin joined the firm of Page, Mannino, Peresich and McDermott, PLLC, in June 2005. She has gained significant experience in the areas of mass torts, toxic torts, and products liability, focusing on cases in the areas of asbestos, silica, and welding rod. Upon graduating from law school, Katharine served as a clerk for the Mississippi Supreme Court to Justice George C. Carlson, Jr., a former circuit court judge from Northern Mississippi. She clerked for the Court for three and one half years gaining valuable experience in the appellate courts.
Katharine was born in Jackson, Mississippi, but was raised in Newport, Arkansas. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Millsaps College in Jackson and attended law school at the University of Mississippi before being admitted to practice law in 2002. Katharine also is admitted to practice law in Alabama.

Outside of the office
Away from the office, Katharine is very active with her alma mater, Millsaps College, where she is the Alumna Advisor for the Gamma Zeta Chapter of Delta Delta Delta and serves on the House Corporation Board. Katharine is also very involved in her church, St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral, where she has served as a mentor for the Journey to Adulthood program, coordinator for Children's Chapel, and member of Adult Formation and Outreach Commissions.
